Sanko Gosei Technologies USA Inc., Fort Wayne, Indianna, recently celebrated the grand opening of its Fort Wayne plant with a Kagami-Biraki (Opening the Mirror) ceremony.
Sanko Gosei LTD, the parent company based in Japan, purchased the former Bhar Inc. plant on May 1 and has been busy transforming the facility into a state-of-the-art automotive custom molding plant. At the grand opening, officials stood around a wooden Sake Barrel and broke the top open with wooden mallets. This 300 year old tradition takes place to signify a successful endeavor. The opening celebration was attended by Kenso Kuroda, president and CEO, and Amen Kusumi, senior director, along with about 50 invited guests that included customers and suppliers.
