Michael Devereux II, a self-proclaimed “tax geek” and partner at Mueller Prost LC, St. Louis, Missouri, was named a 2015 40 Under 40 honoree by CPA Practice Advisor. The program recognizes those who are helping lead the profession into the future.
Devereux serves as Partner and Director of Manufacturing, Distribution and Plastics Industry Services for Mueller Prost. He has demonstrated leadership and exceptional judgment in the tax structuring of various acquisitions, has led hundreds of Research & Experimentation Tax Credit study engagements, and is lead coordinator for the firm’s special tax incentives program.
Devereux is active in numerous industry trade organizations, most recently being named to the Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors (MAPP) Board of Directors. He frequently is invited to speak at professional and industry conferences about opportunities to utilize federal and state tax incentives to minimize tax burdens. In addition, he has authored several articles that have been published in various trade publications with nationwide distribution.
