Plastic Molding Technology, El Paso, TX, recently received the Manufacturer of the Year Award (small enterprise) during the Manufacturing Leadership Summit in Palm Beach, FL.

Plastic Molding Technology, El Paso, TX, recently received the Manufacturer of the Year Award (small enterprise) during the Manufacturing Leadership Summit in Palm Beach, FL. The Manufacturing Leadership Awards honor companies and individuals that are shaping the future of global manufacturing.

PMT received top marks for two business-transforming projects, which included implementation of EnterpriseIQ from IQMS, Paso Robles, CA, employee training programs, a new mold storage system and processes, inventory accuracy improvements and cost-of-quality initiatives, as well as a multi-dimensional sustainability project that delivered significant, ongoing savings and new business.

Two other MAPP members also were recognized for outstanding performance. In the Engineering and Production Technology category, Micro Mold Co., Inc., Erie, PA, won for its lights-out, fully-automated manufacturing workcell initiative. Poly-Cast Plastics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Tigard, OR, was recognized in the Enterprise Technology category for its use of EnterpriseIQ's financial management modules to maintain rigorous PRC tax standards.
