MAPP-Member Companies Honored

Plastics Business

Several MAPP-member companies recently were honored for business excellence. The honorees included Stihl, a Virginia Beach, Virginia-based captive molder, and custom molders Prism Plastics, Inc., Chesterfield Township, Michigan; Nicolet Plastics Inc., Mountain, Wisconsin; and Plastics Components Inc., Germantown, Wisconsin.

Stihl picked up the 2014 Processor of the Year award, while Prism and Nicolet won Excellence Awards for customer relations and employee relations, respectively. Plastic Components won the first-ever Sustained Excellence award. That competition was open to whose companies that had previously won Processor of the Year. PCI was the 2008 Processor of the Year.

The awards were part of the Plastics News Executive Forum in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada. Another company, Evco Plastics, Inc., Deforest, Wisconsin, won an Excellence Award for industry/public service.
