Brent Todd, vice president of sales and marketing, and Rick Smith, vice president of manufacturing, explained various bag-in-box products, applications, materials and design considerations, as well as injection molding and bag fabrication to a group of Indiana State University students.

Parish Manufacturing, Inc., an Indianapolis, IN-based sanitary packaging specialist, has invested more than $500,000 in a new liquid bag-in-box manufacturing line, offering additional capacity for the demands of customers. The new equipment will not only enhance product offerings but increase production reliability. Parish also has expanded its capacity with a newly remodeled 3,500 sq. ft. portion of the building.

Students from Indiana State University recently toured the Parish facility to get a first-hand view of flexible packaging manufacturing. The students, whom are all enrolled in the Packaging Machinery class with the Packaging Engineering Technology program, requested to see the manufacturing processes involved with bag-in-box packaging.
